An active detective with the Largo Police Department, Adam Compton was first elected to a Sun Coast Police Benevolent Association leadership role by his peers in 2014. He served as a Largo PD Director (rep) from 2014 to 2019, and as the PBA’s Senior Vice President in 2020. He has served as our Treasurer since 2021.
Mr. Compton joined the Largo Police Department in September of 2007. He has worked patrol, as a field training officer, and as an assistant team leader for the special incident response team. He is currently assigned to the crimes against persons unit. Prior to his law enforcement career, Mr. Compton worked in the private sector for fourteen years.
A graduate of the University of Georgia, Mr. Compton enjoys watching the two-time National Champion Georgia Bulldogs and Lightning hockey, as well as playing golf, traveling, and spending time with his son.
